"Cupid and Psyche" by Sir Joshua Reynolds. At the Courtald Collection in London. The reflections off the surface of the painting were very bad, so I ended up taking this photo from an extreme angle and had to distort the image horribly to get it "straight." Here, Psyche is finding out that her lover is in fact a god. The use of light is staggeringly beautiful - although, as usual, I'm not sure that fully comes through in this image.
