This is the "Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption" in Covington, Kentucky (across the river from Cincinnati). It was completed around 1910. Several elements are copied from Notre Dame in Paris, most notably the front facade (which is quite intimidating). The church has a staggering amount of stained glass - they think it's possible it's more than any other church in the world. Certainly, they've made a good attempt - it's beautiful. This oddity was in one of their niches, and reminded me so strongly of an artist called Christos(?) from the 1990s (he liked to wrap things and people) that I needed a picture.
