Rome Sculptures, May 2009
Rome was home to both Michelangelo and Bernini. The latter was a name I barely recognized when I arrived in the city. In two hours at the Borghese Gallery, he went from being "a name" to being one of the best sculptors in the world - standing, in my mind, beside Michelangelo and Rodin. Fine company indeed.
Where I was unable to get photos of a sculpture I saw that I particularly liked, I've filled in from other sources. The ones that aren't mine are all labeled as such.
